So, I've got a blog . . . Now what?

Everyone seems to be jumping on the blog bandwagon so I thought I'd give it a go as well. Haven't really got a clue what I'm going to talk about, but that's never really stopped me from saying something, so . . .

One last shot

The moon has risen above the clouds and I got one last shot of it. This photo was taken about 9:30 p.m. Doesn't much look like the moon and there is nothing else in the picture to use as a reference point. To the naked eye, the moon is kind of a reddy brown. It's times like this I wish I had a much better camera so I could take decent pictures.

I think the picture is quite good. The event was visible here in Europe too, although between 3 a.m. and 6.30 a.m. (meaning I did not see it through my closed eyelids) ;-)

Giggle.

I didn't see the moon fully eclipsed just the mostly eclipsed that I took the picture of. It was fascinating to see a sort of dusty reddy moon with just the barest hint of glow to it. What I really needed was a camera with a telephoto lense for a close up shot. That would have been awesome.

But I'm sure someone somewhere will have taken a great picture and I'm looking forward to finding it.
