A Stitch in Time

A stitch in time may save nine, but I'd rather show off the things I've made or had made for me.

You know your socks are a success when . . .

. . . the Prodigal Son has worn them for two days without taking them off.

. . . the Prodigal Son informs you - yes, informs not asks - that you can make him another pair when the new yarn arrives.

It's cooling down. Had some rain, but that's gone. It'll be hot over Thanksgiving. Typical Texas coast weather.

Thanks for popping over and saying hey.

He probably won't want to go back to wearing store bought socks. Once you've worn handknit socks, there is no going back ;-)
But the next pair should be for yourself.

I'll make myself a pair. I may have to sneak knit them so he won't see, but I'll get myself a pair.

your son cracks me up. or, perhaps, it's more how you relate interacting with him that does. either way, i think it's cool that he likes the socks and actually wears them. many a guy wouldn't be caught dead in anything purple, let alone made by their mothers. spiffiness.

Oh, the Prodigal is a riot. Sometimes he's a standard guy jerk type and sometimes he's cool. Makes life interesting.
